About the Branch Partner Program

The Branch Partner Program is a three-stage vesting model that takes two committed individuals from part-time staff roles (Stage 1) through profit sharing (Stage 2) to full equity ownership (Stage 3) in approximately 21–30 months. Every stage is supported by RLC’s curriculum, systems, HR, and back-office — so you can focus on building your local student community.

Unlike traditional franchises, you start earning from day one with a base pay and grow into business ownership alongside a complementary partner.

Academic Partner

Focused on curriculum, instruction, student outcomes, and parent communication.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Education, Math, Science, or related field preferred — Master’s degree a plus
  • 5+ years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Valid U.S. work authorization required

Focused on marketing, outreach, enrollment growth, and community events.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experienced with all types of marketing — digital, social media, community outreach, and print
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Valid U.S. work authorization required
Both partners must: Apply together (joint application) • Complete RLC training independently • Meet combined enrollment milestones • Advance through every stage together — neither partner advances alone. • Each partner must personally commit a minimum of 20 hours per week before hiring anyone else to assist with branch needs.

What You’ll Do (as a team)

  • Represent Ramana Learning Center as trusted educational leaders in your community
  • Promote and support student enrollment into RLC programs
  • Act as a bridge between families and RLC academic offerings
  • Build awareness through schools, libraries, parent groups, and community organizations
  • Identify viable local community spaces for instruction
  • Over time: manage local operations, staff, and branch growth

One-Time Non-Refundable Commitment Fee

This one-time non-refundable fee secures each partner’s position and covers onboarding, training, and launch support. The fee is based on your prior RLC experience:

9+ months as an RLC staff member $350 per partner ($700 total)
Less than 9 months (or no RLC experience) $1,000 per partner ($2,000 total)
Branch Ambassador with 30+ successful referrals $0 per partner — fee fully waived ⭐ Ambassador Fast-Track

Branch Ambassador Fast-Track Entry

If you are an active Branch Ambassador who has successfully referred 30 or more students to RLC, your one-time commitment fee is fully waived when you apply for the Branch Partner Program. Your referral track record already demonstrates the community presence and growth mindset we look for in a Growth Partner.

You don’t need to find a Growth Partner from scratch either — you are the Growth Partner. Simply pair up with an Academic Partner and apply together. Mention your ambassador status on your application and we will verify your referral count and waive the fee automatically.

Stage 1: Candidate Branch Partners

Duration: 3–12 months  |  Part-time Base Pay + Per-Enrollment Bonuses

Compensation — Base Pay

Both partners are part-time staff members during Stage 1. Pay structures differ by role:

Academic Partner — Hourly / Per Session

Paid $30 per hour for each 1-hour tutoring session conducted. The more sessions taught, the more earned.

Example at 20 hrs/wk:
$30/hr × 20 hrs × 4.33 wks = ~$2,598/mo
Teach more hours → earn more. No cap.

Growth Partner — Fixed Hours

Paid $15/hr for community outreach, marketing, and enrollment activities.

Example at 20 hrs/wk:
$15/hr × 20 hrs × 4.33 wks = ~$1,299/mo

Academic Partner: Base pay scales directly with tutoring hours. Projections below use 20 hrs/wk as the baseline — teach 30 hrs/wk and earn ~$3,897/mo in base pay alone.
Plus — Per-Enrollment Bonuses by Achievement Tier

Both partners earn bonuses on every student enrollment on top of base pay. Tiers are based on combined team milestones.

🥉 Bronze

Enrollment Bonuses:

  • SAT Prep Group: $50 / enrollment
  • All other programs: $25 / enrollment

Combined Requirements:

  • 20 1-on-1 class enrollments
  • 2 SAT batches (8–20 students each)

🥈 Silver

Enrollment Bonuses:

  • SAT Prep Group: $60 / enrollment
  • All other programs: $30 / enrollment

Combined Requirements:

  • 30 1-on-1 class enrollments
  • 4 SAT batches (8–20 students each)

🥇 Gold

Enrollment Bonuses:

  • SAT Prep Group: $70 / enrollment
  • All other programs: $35 / enrollment

Combined Requirements:

  • 40 1-on-1 class enrollments
  • 6 SAT batches (8–20 students each)

*Bonus amounts are per student per partner, paid on top of base pay. Exact compensation confirmed in your partner agreement.

🤝 Stage 2: Associate Branch Partners

Duration: 6 months  |  Full Base Pay + 10% Profit Share

Compensation
  • Full base pay continues unchanged from Stage 1
  • Academic Partner: 10% profit share (added on top of base pay)
  • Growth Partner: 10% profit share (added on top of base pay)
  • No equity yet — this stage validates your ability to operate profitably as a team
Requirements (both partners must meet)
  • Maintain or exceed Gold-level enrollment: 40 1-on-1 class enrollments + 6 SAT batches (8–20 students each)
  • Minimum 20 hours/week personal commitment per partner — before hiring any additional staff to assist the branch
  • Consistent operations and scheduling
  • Positive parent reviews and satisfaction scores
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management
  • Continued brand alignment and communication standards
  • Clear role division: Academic Partner managing instruction; Growth Partner managing outreach

What this means financially: Your base pay stays the same as Stage 1, and 10% profit sharing is added on top. The more profitable the branch, the more you earn above your base.

🏢 Stage 3: Full Branch Partners (Equity Earns at Completion)

Duration: 12 months  |  Full Base Pay + 20% Profit Share — Equity vests upon completion

Compensation
  • Full base pay continues unchanged from Stage 1
  • Academic Partner: 20% profit share (added on top of base pay)
  • Growth Partner: 20% profit share (added on top of base pay)
  • RLC Corporate: 60% profit share
Requirements
  • Maintain or exceed Gold-level enrollment: 40 1-on-1 class enrollments + 6 SAT batches (8–20 students each)
  • Minimum 20 hours/week personal commitment per partner — before hiring any additional staff to assist the branch
  • Operate successfully for 12 consecutive months
  • Meet student retention targets (defined in partner agreement)
  • Meet RLC quality standards (curriculum delivery, parent satisfaction, compliance)

Protection & Governance Clauses

Active Participation Requirement

Every partner — vested or not — must remain actively working in their defined role at a minimum of 20 hours per week. Passive ownership is not permitted at any stage. This applies throughout Stages 1, 2, and 3.

  • Academic Partner must be actively engaged in instruction, curriculum, and student outcomes
  • Growth Partner must be actively engaged in outreach, enrollment, and community engagement
  • Additional staff may only be hired after each partner is already personally contributing 20+ hrs/week
  • Partners who become inactive are subject to the Buyback Clause below
Equity Transfer

Once equity is vested (upon completing Stage 3), a partner may sell or transfer their ownership stake subject to the following conditions:

  • RLC has right of first refusal on any equity sale
  • The incoming buyer must qualify as an active partner (same role requirements apply)
  • Passive ownership transfers are not permitted — the buyer must actively work in the branch
  • Transfer must be approved by RLC in writing
Buyback Clause

If either partner leaves the program or becomes inactive, RLC retains the right to repurchase that partner’s equity shares at a predetermined formula-based valuation.

Performance Clause

Equity may revert to RLC if:

  • Branch falls below 30 active students for 6 consecutive months
  • Compliance violations occur
  • Brand damage is documented
Partner Departure

If one partner exits, RLC and the remaining partner will determine whether:

  • The remaining partner absorbs the departing partner’s role (with RLC support)
  • A replacement partner is identified and onboarded as an active participant
  • The branch transitions to a different operational model
