Guitar Program (Beginner & Intermediate)

Our Guitar Program equips upper elementary through high school students with essential skills for acoustic/electric guitar. Structured progression fosters independence, creativity, and ensemble readiness through private 1-on-1 or small group lessons (3-5 students).
Program Levels
Beginner (Grades 3-5 & 6-12)
First chords to full songs.
- Guitar anatomy, tuning, posture, open chords
- Basic strumming, chord charts, tablature
- Steady rhythm, simple riffs/songs (pop/folk/worship)
- Practice routines fitting school schedules
Intermediate
Expands versatility for bands and performances.
- Barre/power chords, fingerpicking, advanced strumming
- Scales, improvisation, multiple styles (rock/pop/acoustic)
- Backing tracks, song arrangement
- Stage presence and ensemble skills
Class Format & Schedule
- Private 1-on-1 or small group lessons (1 hour or 30 minutes)
- Schedule: Fridays 4:00pm–8:00pm; Saturdays & Sundays 6:00pm–8:00pm
- 3 recitals yearly, class jams, year-end showcases

How to Enroll
- Create your parent account — Register on My Portal as a parent. It only takes a few minutes.
- Add your child and choose a program — Once logged in, click Add a child, then use our simple enrollment wizard to select the program and complete registration.
- Receive your confirmation email — You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your child’s enrollment is complete.
- We follow up with you — A branch staff member will call you to discuss next steps and get your child started on the program.
