Ramana Learning Center's Piano Program builds strong foundations for K-12 students, progressing from first notes to confident performances. Our structured curriculum emphasizes technique, music reading, and joyful expression through private 1-on-1 lessons tailored to each student's pace.
Program Levels
Beginner (Grades 1-5 & 6-8)
Introduces keyboard basics and simple songs.
- Keyboard geography, hand position, basic note reading (treble/bass clef)
- Five-finger patterns, simple scales, introductory chords
- Proper posture, rhythm, and practice habits
- Simple pieces with performance opportunities
Intermediate
For students who play both hands-together comfortably.
- Major/minor scales, arpeggios, chord progressions
- Dynamics, articulation, pedal technique
- Classical/contemporary repertoire, sight-reading, ear training
- Performance preparation and improvisation basics
Class Format & Schedule
- Private 1-on-1 lessons (1 hour or 30 minutes) for personalized attention
- Schedule: Fridays 4:00pm–8:00pm; Saturdays & Sundays 6:00pm–8:00pm
- 3 recitals yearly, parent showcases

How to Enroll
- Create your parent account — Register on My Portal as a parent. It only takes a few minutes.
- Add your child and choose a program — Once logged in, click Add a child, then use our simple enrollment wizard to select the program and complete registration.
- Receive your confirmation email — You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your child’s enrollment is complete.
- We follow up with you — A branch staff member will call you to discuss next steps and get your child started on the program.
