Frequently Asked Questions About Homeschool Assist

What is the Homeschool Assist program?

Homeschool Assist is a structured group tutoring program at Ramana Learning Center designed for middle and high school homeschoolers. Students join daily Math and ELA Learning Pods (Monday–Friday) in small groups of 2–6, receiving consistent instruction and peer interaction to complement their home curriculum.

What subjects are offered?

The program offers two Learning Pods: Math Learning Pods — focused instruction in problem-solving, critical thinking, and application skills — and ELA Learning Pods — guided lessons in reading, writing, comprehension, and language skills.

What grade levels does this program serve?

Homeschool Assist is specifically designed for middle school and high school students (approximately Grades 6–12) who are being homeschooled and need structured academic support in core subjects.

How long is each session?

Each Learning Pod session runs for 90 minutes, held Monday through Friday. This gives students enough time to work through concepts, practice skills, and build genuine understanding — not just quick review.

How small are the groups?

Groups are kept intentionally small — 2 to 6 students per pod. This ensures each student receives individual attention while still benefiting from collaborative peer learning and group discussion.

Can Homeschool Assist replace our home curriculum?

Homeschool Assist is designed to supplement and strengthen your existing home curriculum, not replace it. Our instructors focus on building skills, filling gaps, and giving students a consistent daily routine in Math and ELA alongside your family's broader homeschool plan.
