Violin Program (Beginner & Intermediate)

Ramana Learning Center's Violin Program nurtures string players from bow basics to orchestral proficiency. Emphasis on posture, intonation, and expression prepares K-12 students for long-term success through private 1-on-1 or small group lessons (3-5 students).
Program Levels
Beginner (Grades 1-5 & 6-8)
Sound production and musical literacy.
- Posture, bow hold, left-hand position
- Treble clef reading, basic rhythms/scales
- Tone exercises, simple melodies
- Instrument care and home practice
Intermediate
Refines artistry for ensembles.
- Scales/arpeggios, advanced bowing (slurs/dynamics)
- Vibrato, intonation mastery
- Classical repertoire, ensemble listening
- Audition prep, structured practice
Class Format & Schedule
- Private 1-on-1 or small group lessons (1 hour or 30 minutes)
- Schedule: Fridays 4:00pm–8:00pm; Saturdays & Sundays 6:00pm–8:00pm
- 3 recitals yearly, orchestra-style performances

How to Enroll
- Create your parent account — Register on My Portal as a parent. It only takes a few minutes.
- Add your child and choose a program — Once logged in, click Add a child, then use our simple enrollment wizard to select the program and complete registration.
- Receive your confirmation email — You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your child’s enrollment is complete.
- We follow up with you — A branch staff member will call you to discuss next steps and get your child started on the program.
