Music Builds More Than Musicians

Research consistently shows that children who study music outperform their peers in math, reading, and focus — not because they are naturally gifted, but because music training builds the same cognitive habits that drive academic success: pattern recognition, sustained attention, and disciplined practice. At Ramana Learning Center, our Performing Arts programs in Piano, Guitar, and Violin give K–12 students the structured instruction, expert guidance, and performance experience to develop these skills — and a genuine love of music that lasts a lifetime.

Whether your child is curious about their first instrument or ready to take their playing to the next level, our programs meet them exactly where they are and guide them toward something they will be proud of.

Our Programs

Piano

The piano is the ideal starting point for young musicians. Its visual layout makes music theory tangible, and the discipline of consistent piano practice transfers directly to schoolwork, goal-setting, and performance under pressure. Our Piano Program takes K–12 students from their very first notes through confident, expressive performances — building technique, reading ability, and musical independence at every step.

  • Beginner and Intermediate levels for Grades 1–12
  • Private 1-on-1 lessons in 30- or 60-minute sessions tailored to your child's pace
  • Keyboard fundamentals, scales, chords, and classical and contemporary repertoire
  • 3 formal recitals per year plus parent showcases to celebrate progress

Guitar

Guitar captivates students who might otherwise resist formal music instruction — and that motivation is powerful. Our Guitar Program channels that enthusiasm into real skill: structured technique, music theory, and ensemble awareness that makes students better musicians and more confident performers. From acoustic basics to creative improvisation, we build players who can grow in any direction they choose.

  • Beginner and Intermediate levels for Grades 3–12
  • Private 1-on-1 or small group lessons (3–5 students) in 30- or 60-minute sessions
  • Open chords, strumming patterns, fingerpicking, scales, and improvisation
  • 3 recitals per year, class jams, and year-end showcases

Violin

Violin is one of the most demanding instruments to master — and one of the most rewarding. The precision it requires builds patience, ear training, and the kind of focused attention that pays dividends across every subject. Our Violin Program guides K–12 students from bow-holdin basics through polished, audition-ready performances, with individualized instruction that keeps every student progressing at the right pace.

  • Beginner and Intermediate levels for Grades 1–12
  • Private 1-on-1 or small group lessons (3–5 students) in 30- or 60-minute sessions
  • Bowing technique, posture, intonation, scales, classical repertoire, and audition preparation
  • 3 recitals per year and orchestra-style ensemble performances

What Sets Our Music Program Apart

  • Expert instructors — Our faculty are trained musicians who know how to teach, not just perform. They adapt to each student's learning style and move at a pace that builds confidence without skipping fundamentals.
  • Three recitals per year — Regular performance opportunities prepare students for real-world pressure in a supportive environment. Students who perform regularly develop poise, self-assurance, and pride in their work.
  • Free introductory session — New students start with a complimentary lesson so they and their parents can experience the program before committing.
  • Academic-minded environment — Our music program sits alongside our academic tutoring, SAT prep, and enrichment programs. The same values of discipline, consistency, and high expectations run through everything we do.
  • Flexible scheduling — Lessons are held Fridays 4:00pm–8:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays 6:00pm–8:00pm to fit busy family schedules.

The best time to start music lessons is when your child is ready and interested. If that moment is now, we are ready to work with them. Register through myportal or contact your nearest branch to schedule your child's free introductory session.
