Welcome to the VEX IQ Robotics Club at Ramana Learning Center, where innovation and creativity come together! Our hands-on robotics program helps elementary and middle school students explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through fun, interactive robot-building and coding experiences.
Students are introduced to the exciting world of robotics through guided learning and exploration. They’ll learn the basics of robot design, simple programming, and problem-solving in a supportive, team-based environment. These early sessions build strong foundations in logic, creativity, and collaboration — all while having fun!
Students take their robotics knowledge to the next level with advanced building and coding challenges. They’ll develop leadership and analytical thinking skills as they prepare for robotics competitions and work on more complex, hands-on engineering projects.

The VEX IQ Robotics Club is a hands-on STEM program for elementary and middle school students (Grades 3–8) where students build robots, learn to code, and develop engineering skills through the VEX IQ platform. The program combines weekly learning sessions with weekend team practice and prepares students for robotics competitions.
The club has two divisions: the Elementary Division (Grades 3–5), which introduces robot design and basic programming in a guided, team-based environment, and the Middle School Division (Grades 6–8), which covers advanced building, coding challenges, and competition preparation.
Each week includes two sessions: a 1-hour weekday session focused on coding, engineering principles, and robot design concepts, and a 2-hour weekend session for team collaboration, strategy, and competition-style practice challenges.
No prior experience is required. The Elementary Division is designed as an introduction to robotics — students start with the fundamentals of robot design and simple programming in a supportive, guided environment. Beginners are warmly welcome.
Yes. The Middle School Division specifically prepares students for VEX IQ robotics competitions through competition-style challenges, strategy sessions, and team collaboration. Elementary division students build the foundational skills that lead toward future competition readiness.
You can register online through our student portal (myportal) or contact your nearest branch to speak with an advisor. We offer a free trial class so your child can experience the program before committing.
